Samsung’s $249 Chromebook: thinner, lighter and about $200 cheaper!
The new Samsung Chromebook offers and different approach to laptop computing (no hard drive to speak of, and all of the programs are in "the cloud"). I don't think it will ever replace the 17" HP beast I've been lugging around for the past couple of years, but the $249 price point, light weight, and long battery life have certainly made me seriously consider picking one up. I would love to hear from anybody out there who is riding the Google train on a Chromebook?

Samsung and Google recently introduced the simply named Chromebook, a $249 computer with an 11.6-inch screen and around 6.5 hours of battery life in a slim and svelte 2.5 lb, 0.8-inch-thick shell. It’s a bare-bones approach to the concept of a Chrome OS notebook, and it’s probably what Google should have done with this type of hardware from the very beginning. But does that mean it’s good?
